A Sedona man was arrested Monday on a failure to appear warrant on theft charges after he allegedly did work on a home without a license. Officials say 54-year-old Vasile Nagy was arrested at around 1:20 p.m. at his home without incident. Nagy Construction Services faces a theft charge after an investigation by the Arizona Registrar Of Contractors found he was paid nearly $18-thousand dollars to make home repairs, including fixing a roof leak and installing flooring, in a newly purchased home in Sedona. The homeowner contacted the registrar after finding that not only was the floor not installed, but it was never ordered and the roof still leaked. Nagy told the homeowner the work was done. The AZ ROC says any home or property owners who hire someone to do the work, and the entire project is over one-thousand dollars or requires a permit by the city, a license is required by law. Nagy was booked into the Coconino County Jail and released hours later.
