Sedona Fire crews responded to a call regarding an injured hiker on the Dove Mountain Trail Thursday night. When arriving, crews were able to make contact with the person who called in the report. The person told the crew the injured hiker was in a steep area and crews split up to get to the person. When the first team arrived, the hiker had a traumatic injury. After treating the victim, the person was slowly brought off the trail and to an awaiting ambulance. Sedona Fire officials remind people to make sure you have enough water, a fully-charged cell phone and the appropriate cold weather clothing while hiking.
