The Flagstaff Eagles will be under a new head coach starting the 2023 season. Flagstaff High School athletic director Jeannine Brandel announced Sunday that Sean Manning is stepping down after two seasons at the helm of the Eagles. Coach Manning took over as head coach as Todd Hanley resigned at the end of the 2020 season. Manning has been with the Eagles’ program since 2010, serving as freshman, junior varsity and assistant varsity coach, in addition to his time as varsity head coach. Brandel says, “Coach Manning has represented Eagle football with grace, humility and integrity. He cares for each and every student-athlete in the program and will remain a valued member of the Eagle football family.” Flagstaff had a record of 6-14 in two years with Manning as head coach.
