Schools in Prescott and Prescott Valley will move to distance learning due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Yavapai County. Officials with the Prescott Unified and Humboldt Unified school districts decided Tuesday to go all online through January 4th. Prescott schools will transition to at-home instruction starting Wednesday, while Humboldt schools will transition starting Monday. As of Wednesday, Prescott schools will have 15 school days of remote learning left until winter break. Humboldt schools will have ten days of at-home instruction before winter break. As of Tuesday, there were 140 new cases of COVID-19 in Yavapai County. Out of 140 new cases, 66 were in Prescott and 35 were in Prescott Valley.
