Scammers saying they are from APS are hitting areas of Northern Arizona. Scammers are using a number tied to APS to make it seem like a legitimate call. If you get one of these calls, and the person on the other line demands payment by getting a prepaid card, it’s a scam. APS will never call you for payment and suggest you obtain one of these cards to send to them. If there is ever a question about the validity of an email, website or person claiming to be an APS representative, call their customer care center immediately at (602) 371-7171 to verify this information. Do not use a phone number the scammer provides.
