The Arizona Game and Fish Department is inviting anglers to fish Arizona waters for free this Saturday. The free day of fishing in Arizona is being celebrated as part of National Fishing and Boat week. In addition to free fishing, the requirement for a fishing license will also be waived Saturday for any person fishing in Arizona. However, the Arizona Game and Fish Department says those fishing will still be asked to follow bag limits and other fishing regulations. Julie Carter the Aquatic Wildlife Branch Chief said, “Whether you’re a seasoned angler who wants to introduce a newcomer to the sport, or someone who’s always been interested but never took that next step, this is the perfect time to get outdoors and experience what fishing in Arizona is all about.” More information on fishing in Arizona can be found at the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s website at azgfd.com.
