The Coconino National Forest is advising residents and travelers of upcoming road closures beginning Tuesday. Crews will be working on road construction for about six weeks on a portion of the 700 Road just south of Kachina Village. The closure will begin at the 700H gate just off Interstate 17 up to the junctions with the 700 Road, then south to the intersection of 700 and 9489W Road. The Kelly Trailhead parking lot will also be closed during construction. The Coconino National Forest reminds drivers to slow down, use caution, and prepare for alternate routes of travel.
