An older male has been arrested after it was reported he committed thefts from Camp Verde area antique stores in a span of about three weeks between September 14th and October 5th. Camp Verde Marshal’s say the man would enter a store during business hours, taking several thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry and other high-end merchandise without paying for the items and left the stores. One business suffered a loss of over seven-thousand dollars. The same man was reported to have attempted to sell the stolen property to other antique store owners within the Verde Valley. With the help of security videos, detectives were able to identify the man as Gregory Wolf of Rimrock. Wolf was placed under arrest back on October 10th in Rimrock without incident and admitted to the crimes. Wolf was charged with burglary and organized retail theft. If anyone purchased items from Wolf between September 14th and October 5th, contact the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office at (928) 554-8300.
