Reward Offered For Information Leading To The Arrest Of A Missing Kidnapping Suspect

Authorities are still looking for a kidnapping suspect who is wanted in multiple Arizona counties and now a reward is being offered. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies went to a home in Congress last Wednesday at around 8 a.m. regarding a suspect vehicle that was involved in an ongoing trespassing and vehicle theft case. As deputies approached they saw 47-year-old Brian Aurelio look at them and run. He exited the home by smashing through a closed windowpane. Deputies saw Aurelio enter a travel trailer and heard a woman yell “he’s got a gun.” Aurelio told deputies he wasn’t going to jail and threatened suicide. He came out of the trailer holding the woman around her neck as a hostage. He accessed an ATV and took off with the woman. Later in the day searchers found the woman after she convinced Aurelio to let her go in the area of Highway 93 and Scenic Loop Road. The quad was found a short distance away, but Aurelio was not found. He is a white male, five-feet-six inches tall and weighs 175 pounds with gray hair and green eyes. Aurelio is also wanted in Coconino, Maricopa and Pinal counties. Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $650 reward for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260 or contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
