A Prescott Valley woman was killed Sunday after the car she was in struck the back of a fire truck on an Indiana interstate. The “Daily Courier” reports 23-year-old Jenna Monet was in the passenger seat when the car driven by her husband, 25-year-old Derrick Monet also of Prescott Valley, slammed into the back of the emergency vehicle. According to Indiana State Police, the fire truck was responding to an accident on Interstate-70 in Putnam County near Cloverdale, Indiana just after 8 a.m. The truck reportedly had all of the emergency lights activated when the 2019 Tesla the Monet’s were in ran into the back of the truck. The couple were transported to an area hospital where Jenna was pronounced dead from her injuries. Derrick was seriously injured in the accident. Police say drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash and no firefighters were hurt in the incident.
