The Mingus Union High School football program is still looking for its first win of the season and there has reportedly been a change in the program. The “Verde Independent” reports head coach Robert Ortiz has been suspended for the remainder of the season. Ortiz was ejected from the Marauders last game against Mohave back on October 4th after a second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Mingus was on a bye week this past week. The paper says taking Ortiz’s place is wide receivers and defensive backs coach Erick Quesada. Mingus is 0-7 on the season and will take on Bradshaw Mountain in Prescott Valley this Friday night.
