Report: Flagstaff Man Arrested For Allegedly Harassing Flagstaff Mayor Coral Evans

A Flagstaff man was arrested last week in connection with an incident where he allegedly harassed Flagstaff Mayor Coral Evans in the City Hall parking lot. The “Arizona Daily Sun” reports Matthew Eckhardt was in downtown Flagstaff last Thursday, having been paid by Flagstaff resident and business owner Harold Pressman 100-dollars, to stand outside city hall for four hours holding a sign that read “Flagstaff Is Now America’s Dirtest City #RecallCoralEvans.” Pressman has complained to the city for some time that the city is full of garbage and nothing is being done. Pressman has emailed members of the city council, some of which were emails personally attacking Evans. When Mayor Evans didn’t respond to his emails, he decided to hire Eckhardt. The paper says Eckhardt went to Evans’ car and started to film her, her car’s license plate and started making threats. City officials had to escort Mayor Evans to city hall, while police arrived to deal with Eckhardt. He was arrested for disorderly conduct. Mayor Evans has filed an injunction of harassment against Pressman. He says he plans to fight the injunction in court.
