A registered sex offender was arrested in April for sexual assault and fraud in Prescott, based on stolen military valor. Police responded to a report from a woman, claiming she was sexually assaulted by 39-year-old John Hoyt Fullen at his Prescott home. During the investigation, police learned he was a Level 3 sex offender. Also during the investigation, detectives learned that Fullen was the owner and operator of American Veteran Movers, based in Prescott. The investigation uncovered Fullen never served in the military and also obtained veteran status on his Arizona driver’s license. He registered two vehicles in his name and obtained Purple Heart plates for them using forged documents. A former customer told police he hired Fullen based on his military service in the past. Fullen was arrested and booked on one count of sexual assault, as well as multiple counts of forgery and fraud schemes. Federal charges may be added to Fullen in the future. He is currently being held in the Yavapai County Jail.
