A Red Flag Warning, and a Wind Advisory will be in effect Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for areas of Northern Arizona. The warning is for the Greater Flagstaff Area, the Grand Canyon, Williams and areas of the Coconino and Kaibab national forests. Winds are expected to be 20-to-30 miles an hour with gusts up to 45 miles an hour at times. Humidities are expected to be low, so fire danger will be high. A simple spark could start a fire and cause it to grow quickly. Make sure you don’t throw a cigarette out of the window and if you are pulling a trailer, make sure the chains won’t drag on the pavement. If you are camping, campfires are not allowed in Arizona and only propane items can be used. There are no prescribed burns, so if you see smoke in the forest, call 9-1-1.
