A Wind Advisory and a Red Flag Warning will be in effect for all of Northern Arizona today through Friday Night. Areas included in the warnings are: Flagstaff, Prescott, Williams, the Grand Canyon, Winslow, the Navajo Nation and areas in between. However, Flagstaff and Williams are not in the Red Flag Warning area Friday thanks to rains overnight. The Wind Advisory and a Fire Weather Watch will be in effect on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. across the area however. Winds are expected to be 25-to-35 miles an hour today, with gusts possibly reaching 60 miles per hour across Northern Arizona. With high winds, any spark could start a wildfire and could spread quickly. Remember: Do not toss cigarettes out of the vehicle’s window and if you are pulling a trailer, make sure trailer chains are up off the highway. If you see smoke, call 9-1-1.
