A few records fell after the hottest day of the year in Northern Arizona Tuesday. The National Weather Service says Flagstaff set a new record high for June 15th Tuesday. Flagstaff had a high of 94 degrees, which beat the previous record of 92 set in 1974. Prescott set a new record high Tuesday by six degrees. It was 103 Tuesday, which broke the previous record for June 15th of 97 set in 2000. Other areas that set new record high temperatures for June 15th include: Clarkdale and Phantom Ranch with 116, Seligman with 106, Winslow with 107 and Springerville with 97. We could see a repeat of the same Wednesday, but there will be a better chance of thunderstorms in the Flagstaff area in the afternoon.
