The BNSF Railway and Arizona Department of Transportation will resume their project of railroad side and traffic signal side work on several of the west side railroad crossings in Flagstaff beginning Tuesday. Longer than normal delays should be expected for pedestrians, bicyclists and motor vehicles at each crossing while the work is being performed. The normal Quiet Zone status will be temporarily suspended as trains will be sounding their horns when workers are present at each crossing throughout the day. Commuters should take extra time and use alternate routes to get to your destination. Work will take place at Ponderosa Parkway, San Francisco Street and Beaver Street crossings starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
