Prescribed burns set for this week on the Coconino National Forest have been postponed thanks to weather conditions. Fire managers had scheduled a number of burns around Flagstaff this week, to help clean areas near residential areas. However, fire officials say high winds have hampered efforts as well as wind blowing in the wrong direction. There may be a burn set for later next week near of the Mogollon Rim if conditions allow. Forest officials say the burns may be rescheduled any time between next week and late spring.
