Prescott’s New Year’s Eve Whiskey Row Boot Drop Back After A Year Hiatus

The annual New Year’s Eve Whiskey Row Boot Drop is back this year after taking last year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be two drops of the six-foot illuminated cowboy boot Friday night. One will be at 10 p.m. and the other will be at the stroke of midnight in downtown Prescott. The event is free to attend, but it is recommended to get there early as Montezuma Street will be lined with people. There is free parking on the corner of Sheldon Street and Montezuma Street in the Depot parking lot near Sprouts. Free parking can also be found in the Goodwin Plaza parking lot on the corner of Goodwin Street and McCormick Street. Lastly, you can find parking in the Prescott parking garage off of Granite Street. There may be a fee to park here and it does fill up quickly. All lots are a short walking distance to the event. The event runs from 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. For more information, log onto bootdrop.com.
