Prescott Woman Arrested For DUI After Rolling Her Car In Prescott Thursday

A drunk driver caused a rollover accident Thursday afternoon in Prescott. Police say officers responded to the 100 block of Grove Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. Investigators say 31-year-old Karen Palacio De Mancillas of Prescott was travelling southbound when she hit a properly parked unoccupied vehicle on the west side of the road. The collision caused De Mancillas’ car to roll landing on the roof top in the middle of Grove Avenue. Fire crews had to break the windows out of the car to get her out. De Mancillas showed signs of impairment and provided a partial breath sample on the scene. She blew a .199, which is over twice the legal limit. She told officers she was on her way to picking up her kids from school when the accident happened. Arrangements were made by the school to send the kids home with a family member. De Mancillas was arrested for DUI and felony criminal damage. She was booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.
