Prescott Woman Arrested After Armed Robbery Of Journey’s Shoe Store In Prescott Gateway Mall Christmas Eve

A woman was arrested in Prescott after allegedly robbing a Journey’s Shoe store inside the Prescott Gateway Mall Christmas Eve. Prescott Police Deputies received a call around 6:47 p.m. claiming a woman asked multiple Journey’s employees to set shoes aside for her while she waited for her husband to come pay for them. About 40 minutes later, the woman came back with a handgun, demanding the cash from inside the register, and the shoes that were put aside for her. The woman reportedly made two employees walk out to her car with her to place the stolen items in the trunk of her car, before she quickly drove off. Deputies were able to locate her and the driver of the vehicle in the downtown area and took them both into custody. The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Prescott resident Holly Ailiff, who stole $3700 in cash and about $1500 worth of shoes. She has been booked in the Yavapai County Jail on felony charges of Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Kidnapping.
