Three people have been arrested by Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies in connection with a kidnapping of two men outside of the Rock Springs Café in Black Canyon City last Tuesday. Authorities say 27-year-old Brittney Jessup from Prescott, was taken into custody for her role in the abduction of two men she left with from Prescott on a trip to Phoenix. While the men were inside the Cafe, Jessup approached two people. The trip ended when her two accomplices appeared and forced the victims into another vehicle, but not for long. As the group started to drive away from the Cafe, the front seat victim jumped from the moving vehicle, while the victim in the backseat then followed. They jumped out onto the onramp to Interstate-17. A passerby who saw both victims jump, was able to capture a cell phone photo of both vehicles. Officials say the victims were told Jessup owed the two men money and feared for her life. However, it was later learned that Jessup was in on the plan. Also arrested were 34-year-old Jared Daricek from Phoenix and 33-year-old Zachary Olmstead from Glendale. All three remain in custody in the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde on drug, kidnapping and assault charges.
