A Prescott Valley woman was arrested after hitting a child with a vehicle while the child was riding a bicycle and then causing damage to a police vehicle. Police say 18-year-old Jordyn Shope hit the child in the crosswalk of Robert Road and Loos Drive at around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. The officer stopped and detained Shope and found her to be driving on a suspended license with no car registration or insurance. The child was uninjured. While in the back seat of the patrol car, Shope spit at officers and caused over $1,000 in damage, while watching her car get towed away. She was booked on felony criminal damage and misdemeanor reckless driving.
