Prescott Valley Police Arrested Two In Connection With An Assault

Prescott Valley Police arrested two people in connection with a domestic violence matter Tuesday. Officers were called to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center on a report of a woman who had come to the emergency room, trying to locate her father who wasn’t there. She said her father had possibly been stabbed. Officers then went to a home in the 44-hundred block of Parent Road. Officers encountered the son of the alleged victim. As the officers were trying to detain him, the woman ran toward two officers and hit them as they attempted to restrain her. Both son and mother were taken into custody. During the investigation, it was determined the father and son were involved in a verbal argument over the son calling his mother, the woman in question, a vulgar name. The son went and got a knife at which time the father grabbed a baseball bat. The son stabbed the man in the chest and he fell to the ground, dropping the bat. The woman then grabbed the bat and hit her husband in the back of the head with it. The man was treated for his injuries. The son was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of disorderly conduct per domestic violence. The mother was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument and two counts of aggravated assault against law enforcement. The officers were not injured in the incident.
