Prescott Valley Police arrested a man in connection with a DUI hit and run accident Thursday morning. Authorities say a 24-year-old man from Kirkland was driving under the influence of narcotics at around 9:15 a.m. and fell asleep at the wheel. The man was driving northbound on Robert Road when he drifted left of the double yellow line and caused a head-on collision with a 2004 Ford Ranger driven by a 60-year-old male from Prescott Valley. The suspect fled on foot, but returned to the scene a short time later where he was arrested. Police say all injuries from the accident were minor, due to the deployment of airbag. Neither man needed medical attention.
