Prescott Valley Police Arrest A Man In Connection With A Burglary Of A Business

Prescott Valley Police arrested a man in connection with a burglary at a business early Friday morning. Officers were called to the 33-hundred block of North Windsong Drive. When they arrived they found a man who tried to pass himself off as a doctor at the business and got into the office without permission. During the investigation, officers saw food, personal effects and other items scattered around the building that suggested the man had been staying there for some time. The suspect was placed into custody and transported to the Yavapai County Jail and charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage. As the investigation unfolded, officers recalled contacting this same suspect recently near the Prescott Valley Library wearing only his underwear and hospital bracelets. At that time, he was transported to YRMC for evaluation. It appeared the man was suffering from a mental health episode during that encounter with officers. Friday’s incident remains under investigation.
