A Prescott Valley man was arrested Saturday after a Friday night shootout in Prescott Valley. Police received a call of shots fired at around 8:56 p.m. at the parking lot of the vacant Sam’s Club on Highway 69 and Sun Dog Ranch Road. Officers contacted the victim who said he was driving his red 2019 Chevy Camaro when he felt something shake his car when he turned into the parking lot. He stopped and got out and saw a hole in the driver’s side door. He saw a dark-colored low rider leaving the lot. A vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle was found in the three-thousand block of Robin Drive Saturday. The driver of the car was interviewed by detectives. A search of the home uncovered ammunition and numerous types of drugs, as well as handguns. Officers say 26-year-old Angel Mora of Prescott Valley admitted he shot at the car. He was arrested and booked on charges of attempted murder, drug possession, aggravated assault with a weapon and drive-by shooting. No one was injured in the incident.
