Prescott Police Respond To Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle Wednesday

Prescott Police officers responded to an accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Willow Creek Road and Rosser Street Wednesday. When deputies arrived at the scene just past 11 a.m., they discovered a 67-year-old Prescott resident was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street at a crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle was a 43-year-old Prescott resident who was making a left turn from Rosser Street onto Willow Creek Road and claims they never saw the person in the crosswalk. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was immediately flown to a Phoenix area hospital where she is now in stable condition. The driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Prescott Police reminds all motorists to drive defensively and look for pedestrians when at an intersection.
