The Prescott Police Department is investigating multiple assaults at a Prescott gallery on Tuesday. One of the assaults allegedly involved Prescott Mayor Greg Mengarelli. Officers were called to a private event at the Sean Gote Gallery in the 700 block of East Gurley Street at 6:30 p.m. Witnesses say a man was assaulted with a knife and another was threatened, but wasn’t injured. The suspect has been identified as 73-year-old Charles Conrardy. While investigating this incident, officers learned Conrardy was involved in another incident at the gallery earlier that evening, where he assaulted Mayor Mengarelli. The assault didn’t involve a weapon and the mayor wasn’t hurt. Conrardy was cited for misdemeanor assault as a result of the second incident. The first assault case is under investigation and no arrests have been made in that matter.
