Prescott Police Arrest A Sexual Assault Suspect After A Standoff

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault of a 15-year-old girl in Prescott. Prescott Police responded to a call at around 6:15 p.m. at a home in the 18-hundred block of Oaklawn Drive Friday. Officers spoke with a caller who had come home to find an injured 15-year-old girl in her home. The person says the girl had been assaulted by an unknown man in a nearby house. The girl had significant and serious injuries to her face and eye. Officers surrounded the home the assault allegedly occurred and saw a man in the backyard. Authorities say 36-year-old David Littlehale of Prescott refused to comply with directions from the officers and went inside the house and stayed there. After several hours, officers shot chemicals into the home, which forced Littlehale out. The girl was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center West and was later released. Detectives say there was another incident when the victim’s family member showed up at the house where the girl was found. Two men entered the house and fired a shot that hit a wall. The victim told the men they had the wrong house. Littlehale has been booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of kidnapping, sexual assault and aggravated assault.
