The Prescott National Forest is ending its fire restrictions and reopening most recreation sites Saturday. Officials say most developed recreation sites on the Prescott National Forest return to their regular operating and fee schedules on August 1st, though a few, mostly group sites, remain closed for health and safety reasons. Forest officials are also ending the temporary shooting ban. While all fire restrictions are currently lifted, forest visitors must always use caution with campfires and other potential ignition sources. For more information on which recreation sites will open and remain closed, log onto the Prescott National Forest website.
