Prescott Man Arrested For Sending Sexual Images Of A Minor Via Instant Messenger

A Prescott man was arrested Wednesday after police found sexual images of a child on his computer. Officers searched the home of 42-year-old Michael Cate in connection with an investigation that began in December. Investigators found that Cate was sending the images via Facebook Instant Messenger. Cate was booked on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. Detectives seized multiple computers and storage devices from the home. Additional charges will likely be filed after forensic analysis of the devices is complete. The investigation is ongoing.
