Prescott Fire, Police And YCSO Tend To Four Stranded People In A Flooded Wash Thursday

Prescott Fire crews rescued four people in the Prescott Dells Thursday night. Dispatchers received a call at around 11 p.m. that an SUV got stuck while attempting to cross a flooded crossing on Granite Gardens Drive. YCSO and Prescott Police were first to arrive to find a Toyota SUV stuck with four people on top of the roof. The truck tried to cross and was overcome by water. Truck 71 extended its ladder to the SUV and with help from a firefighter, got the four onto the ladder. A second firefighter walked each person across to safety. None of the four people were injured or needed treatment. It’s just another reminder that if you come upon a flooded crossing, to turn around and don’t cross.
