Prescott Fire crews battled a structure fire early Friday morning. Crews received a call at around 12:05 a.m. about a fire in the 600 block of South Granite Street. When crews arrived they initially couldn’t find the fire, but then fire vented through the roof of the building that housed a steel fabrication business. Additional crews were called in to help protect the buildings surrounding the blaze. The fire was put out with no damage done to businesses and homes in the area. During the fire operation a live power line dropped to the ground and crews had to work around the line. APS crews arrived to remove the wire from the scene. There were no injuries regarding firefighters or anyone from the business. The cause of the fire is not known.
