Prescott area emergency medical services have noted an increase in the number of responses to people found in their place of residence suffering from cardiac arrests and other serious life-threatening health conditions. They have also seen an increased number of deaths at their homes. Emergency officials are concerned people are delaying, or not seeking, medical assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They say while it’s important to remain mindful of COVID, it remains a priority for you to seek appropriate medical care. Emergency personnel encourage you that if you have a medical emergency, please call 911 for assistance and don’t wait.
