The City of Prescott announced Monday that the annual Veterans Day Parade will be held in downtown Prescott Thursday, November 11th. This year’s theme is “Honoring World War II Veterans – A Grateful Nation Salutes the Greatest Generation.” The city is inviting entrants to compete in seven different categories this year. They include: Fraternal or Military Organizations, Motorized Groups, Music, Marching Units, Hospital Entries by Veterans, Non-Profit Organizations and Commercial and Business. There’s no fee to enter and the city is also looking for World War Two veterans to serve as parade grand marshalls. Entry forms can be found on the city’s website under the “Programs and Special Events” tab. The parade will begin with the Opening Ceremonies at 10:30 a.m., with the parade beginning at 11.
