The number of cases of COVID-19 in Yavapai County has risen to 24. There are now 17 residents of the Quad Cities area that have tested positive with seven in the Verde Valley. Of the positive tests, 12 are seniors ages 65-and-older and 12 adults ages 18-to-54. So far there have been 594 tests given in the county. Officials say Yavapai County Health Services Director Leslie Horton and County Attorney Sheila Polk have read the HIPPA guidelines regarding protected information during an outbreak and have determined it is inappropriate to give out specific location information. They say all Yavapai County should assume the virus is present in their community and take precautions.
