The number of positive cases in the greater Flagstaff area has been increasing recently, but so has increased testing and awareness. On Wednesday county health officials report 31 new cases and two new deaths related to COVID-19. There are now 927 total cases and a total of 67 deaths in the county. The number of negative tests in the county is over six-thousand with 333 new negative tests reported. The number of positive tests in the Greater Flagstaff Area is up to 229, with 126 of the cases in area of East Flagstaff north to Wupatki National Monument. There are 80 cases reported in West Flagstaff and Fort Valley. County health officials are remind people to continue social distancing and preventative measures for the time being, especially with Memorial Day weekend this weekend.
