The Arizona Department of Health and Human Service says as of Monday, there have been 18 positive cases of COVID-19 or the coronavirus in the state. Eight positive tests have come from Maricopa County, five in Pinal County, four in Pima and one in Graham counties. So far, there have been no positive tests in any county in Northern Arizona. However, lack of tests have been a big problem. More tests are expected to be made available soon, which will give state health officials a better indication about the potential spread of the virus in the state. Sunday, state officials closed schools until March 27th and are recommending people work from home if they have the capability and people postpone gathering of 50 people or more over the next two months.
