Positive COVID-19 results in Yavapai County continue to increase. According to Thursday morning’s report, cases of the coronavirus are up 19 from Wednesday to 172 cases in the county. There have been 12 recoveries and two deaths, with a third possible COVID-19 related death still under investigation. Students at Mingus Mountain Academy will be tested with the use of rapid testing. Results are expected by the weekend. Testing from last Saturday’s blitz testing in the county are starting to be added to the daily report. There are now 77 cases in Prescott Valley, 30 in Prescott, 12 in Cottonwood and ten in Sedona. Officials say there are ten cases in Mayer and seven cases in Dewey. There are also seven cases in Camp Verde and Chino Valley, four cases in other Quad Cities areas and five cases in the Verde Valley area with three in unknown areas.
