The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 is approaching 300 in Yavapai County. There are seven new cases, bringing the total to 283 and there have been no new deaths in the county to keep the total at six with 67 recoveries. Officials say there are 116 cases at Mingus Mountain Academy, 92 are between the ages of 13 and 17 years old. Health officials are reporting 62 of the students and 12 staff members have recovered from COVID-19. Over 91-hundred people have been tested in the county so far, with a 96.9-percent average of negative tests to positive. There are now 42 cases in Prescott, 39 cases in Prescott Valley, 17 in Sedona and 16 in Cottonwood. Officials also say there are ten cases in Mayer, nine in Dewey, 11 in Camp Verde and seven in Chino Valley. There will be blitz testing this Saturday in Prescott and Cottonwood at the Spectrum Healthcare facilities from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
