Police: Burglary Calls In Flagstaff Have Nearly Doubled Since Last Year

Flagstaff Police are reminding the community to take steps to keep their home and valuables safe, whether they are leaving for a few hours or a few days, as home burglary reports are almost double this year than normal. Police say the Boulder Point neighborhood and along University Avenue are seeing the most burglary calls. Officials say to make sure all doors and windows are securely locked before leaving. Also make sure window blinds are closed and keep high-value items out of sight. They also say make sure vehicle doors and windows are up and locked, bring any bicycles inside and don’t leave an extra key under a mat or anywhere it can be easily found. To report a possible theft or suspicious activity, call the Flagstaff Police Department, or call 911 in an emergency.
