Paulden Man Sentenced To Two Years In Prison For Kidnapping And Attempted Sexual Assault

A Paulden man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and attempted sexual assault charges. Yavapai County Sheriff’s investigators learned that a juvenile victim first met 21-year-old Hunter Vance Tingery through Facebook back around March 13th. The victim and a friend went to his house, where he invited both of them into his room, locking the door behind them. Tingery then sexually assaulted the victim, in spite of her repeated efforts to tell him no. At one point, he pulled out a machete from his bed and told the victim she wasn’t allowed to leave. After his two year sentence, Tingery will be on lifetime probation with sex offender registration.
