Page High School Student Drowns At Lake Powell Friday

A 15-year-old Page High School student drowned Friday at Lake Powell near the Arizona-Utah state line at Swim Beach. Kane County, Utah Sheriff’s officials say the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Dive Team recovered the body Friday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen was reported missing in the area after 12:30 p.m. when he disappeared from his group. The teenager was with a group from Page High School at the time of the incident. The death is under investigation. This is the second drowning in nearly two weeks at the lake.  A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with funeral expenses. Click here to go to the page.
