The Coconino County Page Holding Facility was recently home to a COVID-19 positive inmate. Officials say the person was booked into the facility back on April 9th. The person told jail officials at the time of the possible exposure. All safety protocals were instituted and used during the booking process. The inmate was housed in an isolated cell and went to court next day and was released. The Sheriff’s Office was then notified on April 13th the person tested positive for COVID-19. The person had no contact with other inmates in the facility and the person was in isolation the entire time until he was released. All facility staff members were tested for COVID-19 with all tests coming back negative. The person was then re-arrested Wednesday and booked into the facility, with all precautions being taken. He was released to a third party member Friday afternoon. Sheriff’s officials say there are no COVID-19 inmates currently in the Flagstaff detention facility at this time.
