New deaths and new cases of COVID-19 are being reported on the Navajo Nation Friday, but there have also been 500 recoveries from the coronavirus. Health officials say at least 515 people have recovered from COVID-19 with more reports still pending. Officials also report eight more deaths and 141 new cases of the virus. The total number of deaths on the reservation from COVID-19 is now 127, with over 36-hundred cases. Apache County has taken the lead for most cases on the Navajo Nation with 948. Navajo County is reporting 757 cases and Coconino has 353. Another 57-hour curfew begins Friday night at 8 p.m. and runs through 5 a.m. Monday. This weekend’s curfew will also include all essential businesses on the reservation.
