Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies recently found over 400 pounds of marijuana on U.S. Forest Service land near Rimrock and near Sedona. Deputies found the packages near Rimrock last Friday at around 8 a.m. by Forest Service personnel, who thought the piles were trash at first. During a search of the area, deputies located another package that contained several sheets of pre-packaged THC wax. At around 2 p.m. that same day, Sedona Police notified deputies more packages were found near the city. More than 230 packages were found on Forest Service land near Sedona, each weighing about a pound and a half. A package of THC wax was also found at the scene. The street value of the discoveries total $648-thousand dollars for the marijuana and over $100-thousand dollars for the wax.
