The driver of a Chevy truck was seriously injured after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night in East Flagstaff. Authorities say the truck was driving at a high rate of speed heading west on East Route 66. Police say the truck didn’t have its lights on when a second vehicle turned onto Route 66 from the Chevron gas station and collided with the truck near the intersection of Route 66 and Lockett Drive. The Chevy rolled across multiple lanes of traffic and the driver was ejected. Flagstaff Fire officials say life saving measures were performed on the driver and was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center. The driver is listed in critical, but stable condition with substantial injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Criminal charges have yet to be filed and it isn’t known if the driver was impaired at the time of the accident. There were no other injuries reported.
