One Person Was Injured In A Shooting In Chino Valley Thursday Night, Suspect Still At-Large

There was a shooting Thursday night in Chino Valley and the suspect is still at-large. At around 7:40 p.m., Chino Valley Police and Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 15-hundred block of Autumn Lane on a report of a weapon offense. When officers arrived they found an 18-year-old Chino Valley man had been shot in the arm and hip. After the shooting, 18-year-old Kobe Buchanan of Paulden left the scene before officers arrived. The victim was airlifted to a hospital and is in stable condition. Officers went to Buchanan’s house in Paulden and he wasn’t there. However, they contacted him by cell phone, but Buchanan turned it off and he hasn’t been heard from since. He is driving a red 2002 Dodge pickup truck with Arizona license 0CW7485. Buchanan is believed to be armed and dangerous and could be heading to the Phoenix area. If anyone knows his whereabouts call 911, or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
