One person was injured after a house fire in Prescott Valley Sunday evening. Central Arizona Fire and Medical crews were called to the home in the 34-hundred block of North Dale Drive at around 4:30 p.m. When they arrived they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the house. Crews tended to an elderly female who had suffered burns and smoke inhalation. She was airlifted to a Phoenix-area hospital for treatment. Fire crews contained the blaze to one side of the home. Officials say there is extensive smoke damage throughout the inside of the house, but the fire was contained to the single house and didn’t spread to others in the neighborhood. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
